Loop Lighting
Loop lighting creates a shadow under the subject's nose that is off to a side, and resembles a loop. Loop lighting is also one of the most popular lighting techniques that lights up most of the face, and leaving a small shadow. Setting up loop lighting is similar to split lighting. To set up loop lighting the light source needs to be about 45 degrees angled from the camera, with the light at eye level. The source can also be repositioned either up or down for a better effect of the loop under the subjects nose.
